Jell-O Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar, divided
1 small box Jell-O (flavour desired)
2 cups cake flour
2 tablespoons lemon extract
2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup vegetable oil
3/4 cup milk
4 eggs, separated
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 325 F, grease a bundt pan with vegetable shortening and flour it. Sift the flour, the sugar (1 cup), the baking powder and the gelatin together. In another recipient, pour the milk, the vegetable oil and the lemon extract.
Mix the two mixtures and beat until smooth. Add the yolks in the mixture, one by one, and mix. Beat the egg whites and cup of sugar until stiff (not dry).
Pour the latter in the batter and fold. Fill in the pan with the mixture and bake for 35-45 minutes. Glaze depends on ones choice.
