Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake
Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups self-rising flour
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup superfine sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
4 medium eggs, beaten
Topping
3 tablespoons butter
5 ounces bittersweet or semisweet (dark cooking) chocolate
Maraschino cherries
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. A bundt pan of 9-inch should be greased and the bottom lined with greaseproof paper. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter and the sugar until creamy.
Then add the eggs and fold in the flour and the cocoa. Mix until blended. Pour the mixture in the pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Allow to cool for a few minutes then remove the cake from the pan and allow to cool on a rack.
For the topping; In a saucepan, melt the chocolate over hot water or in a microwave. Add the butter and mix. Then pour it on the cake, allowing the sauce to drizzle down the sides.
Add cherries on the top for decoration.
