Rainbow Butter Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups (2 1/2 sticks) butter at room temperature
2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
4 1/2 cups cake flour
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
5 eggs
Paste food colorings in 3 shades
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. A 10-inch tube pan should be greased. Beat the butter and the sugar for about 3 minutes.
Pour in the eggs one by one and beat well. In a bowl, put the flour and the baking powder and sift. Then add to the butter mixture alternately with milk.
Pour in the vanilla extract and mix. Pour the batter in 3 different recipients equally and mix in each teaspoon of paste food coloring. Fill in the pan with the three batters. one
at a time.
Bake for 1 hour 10 minutes. Decorate with favorite icing, if desired.
