Shaker Cider Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup cider
1/2 cup soft butter
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, well beaten
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
Instructions:
Grease a loaf pan and preheat the oven to 350 F. In a bowl, put the flour, the baking soda, the salt and the nutmeg. In another recipient, beat the butter and the sugar and add the eggs.
Put in the flour mixture, alternately with the cider (start and end with flour). Pour in the pan and bake for 1 hour or until cake test is done.
