Orange Crunch Cake

Ingredients:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons grated orange zest (colored portion of the peel)
3 cups sifted cake flour
3/4 cup milk
5 eggs
Juice and grated zest (colored portion of the peel) of 1 lemon
Syrup
1/3 cup orange juice
1/4 cup butter
2/3 cup granulated sugar
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 0186 F. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan/bundt pan. With the use of an eclectic whisk ( high speed), beat the butter and the sugar for about 2 minutes.
Pour in the orange and the lemon zest and lemon juice. Then, add in the eggs one by one and beat well. In another recipient, sift the flour and the baking powder together with the salt. Add it to the butter mixture alternating with milk.
Beat well and put pecans in the pan. Then fill the pan with the batter and bake for 1 hour or until a cake tester inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Prepare glaze: In a saucepan, put the butter, the sugar and the orange juice. Cook and stir for about 3 minutes, until the sugar dissolves. Then make holes in the cake with the help of a fork and pour the glace on it.
