Buttery Cinnamon Cake
Buttery Cinnamon Cake Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup milk
2/3 cup shortening
3 eggs
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
Cinnamon Syrup
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. A fluted tube pan of 10-inch should be greased lightly floured. Stir the flour and the baking powder and add 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon and salt. In a mixing bowl, beat the shortening until creamy.
Then, add in 1/3 cups of granulated sugar and of teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat until fluffy. Add the eggs one by one, beating for a minimum of 1 minute after each.
Add the flour mixture and the milk alternately to the egg mixture, beating well. Then pour it in the pan and bake for 40 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes and remove the pan.
With a fork, make holes on the top of the cake and pour in the cinnamon syrup. Spread the confectioners sugar.
For the Cinnamon Syrup; Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and heat and stir until the butter melts. Do not boil and pour the syrup on the cake when both are warm.
