Godiva Hot Chocolate Cake Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon chocolate liqueur Godiva
2 cups confectioners sugar
5 egg yolks
5 whole eggs
8 ounces semisweet chocolate squares
Butter and granulated sugar to coat pan
Vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease an 8-inch souffle dish and sprinkle with granulated sugar. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate with the butter and pour in the chocolate liqueur.
In a bowl, using an electric whisk (low speed); beat the whole eggs and the egg yolks. Then add the chocolate mixture. In another recipient, put the flour and the confectioners sugar and sift.
Add this to the chocolate mixture and mix (high speed) until smooth for about 3 minutes. Pour it in the souffle dish and bake for 40-45 minutes or until cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean. To be served hot and accompanied with ice cream (vanilla).
